Facetec was born out of firsthand experience with the challenges of facial aesthetic and therapeutic documentation. Our founder spent years working alongside practitioners who struggled to keep clinical photos, patient notes, and treatment records organized across disconnected systems.
We knew there had to be a better way — a single platform that combined intuitive photo management, before-and-after comparisons, injection charting, EMR tools, and full compliance with HIPAA and PIPEDA.

Facetec was founded by Carly Olynyk, who brings more than 15 years of experience in the dental and medical aesthetics industry. Growing up with parents who were cosmetic dentists, she developed an early understanding of both clinical excellence and the challenges practitioners face in building and marketing their practices.
Throughout her career, Carly saw how difficult it was for skilled injectors to consistently document and showcase their results in a professional, compliant, and efficient way. Recognizing the growing importance of visual proof in patient decision-making, she founded Facetec in 2016 in Vancouver, Canada.
What began as a solution for standardized before-and-after photography has evolved into a comprehensive cloud-based platform combining AI-powered photo management, professional galleries, and EMR tools designed specifically for aesthetic and therapeutic providers.

Facetec was founded by Carly Olynyk, who brings over 15 years of experience working in dental and medical aesthetics industry. The inconsistency in photo documentation and the time-consuming process of creating professional galleries meant that exceptional work often went underrepresented.
This insight, combined with her deep understanding of healthcare practice dynamics, led Carly to establish Facetec in 2016 in Vancouver, BC. What began as a solution to streamline before-and-after documentation has evolved into a comprehensive cloud-based platform that combines AI photo management, professional gallery creation, and full EMR capabilities specifically designed for aesthetic and therapeutic providers.
