Fresh out of Botox training and ready to start treating patients? Here’s your step-by-step roadmap to confidently integrate treatments into your practice and capture your first documented before and after case.

Your 5-step Botox integration checklist

Step 1: Order your products: place an order for Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport through your preferred supplier. Factor in storage requirements when planning your initial order.

Step 2: Stock up on consumables: order essential supplies: syringes, needles, alcohol swabs, gauze, ice packs, and other treatment consumables. View set-up tray here.

Step 3: Set up your clinical workflow in Facetec: Customize your in-take forms including consent forms, medical history questionnaires, treatment planning templates, and post-treatment care instructions.

Step 4: Schedule your patient model’s follow-up appointment: book your patient model from training in for their 2-week post-treatment follow-up appointment at your practice. This visit helps you assess your first treatment results and gives you your first real before and after case.

Step 5: Upload training records: once you’re received a copy of your patient model’s records from your training course (intake forms, original “before” photos series, injection site marking photos, and treatment notes), upload everything into Facetec to create a complete patient chart.

The magic moment: the first follow-up

When your patient returns for their 2-week follow-up, have your team take the complete series of post-treatment “after” photos, create a new visit in Facetec, upload the photos and use the Compare Visits feature to scroll through before-and-after photos side-by-side.

Congratulations — you’ll have your first documented before and after case! If the results are portfolio-worthy, simply click “Add to Portfolio” to showcase this case.

Botox treatment tweaking: perfecting results

After comparing photographs, if the results aren’t what they should be, you can mark additional injection sites and inject again — this is called treatment “tweaking.” Document this additional treatment in Facetec and schedule your patient back for another post-treatment appointment, two weeks from this date, to assess the final results.

Why this matters:

  • Documentation: proper record-keeping from day one protects you and your patients while establishing professional standards.
  • Confidence: seeing real, documented results builds genuine clinical confidence and reinforces your training.
  • Marketing: professional before and after cases are invaluable for attracting new patients and building trust.
  • Growth: strong systems scale with your practice, making it easier to train staff and maintain consistent quality.
